CDC welcomes Sunlight Air, boosts Clark's tourism, aviation hub status

CLARK FREEPORT— Clark Development Corporation (CDC) welcomed Sunlight Express Airways operating as Sunlight Air as the airline moved to its new base at Clark International Airport (CRK) on Monday, April 1.

Representing CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, Atty. Noelle Mina Meneses, Vice President of Business Development and Business Enhancement Group, emphasized the importance of additional flights in boosting Clark's status as an investment and tourism destination.

“These flights are testaments to the trust and confidence in Clark, not just as an investment destination but also as a tourism destination," Atty. Meneses said.
"We look forward to having you as a partner in our continuous promotion of Clark as a center for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E.),” she added.

For her part, Sunlight Air CEO Ryna Brito-Garcia, highlighted the airline's mission, which is to enable more Filipinos to travel to various destinations within the Philippines.

"We are thrilled to have launched our first flight from Clark with the support of the Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp., (LIPAD)" Brito-Garcia said.
"This strategic shift underscores our commitment to top-notch service and enhances travelers' experiences,” she added.

The inaugural flight, 2R601 to Busuanga, left CRK at 2:10 p.m. on April 1. New routes to Siargao, San Vicente, Coron, and Caticlan enhance connectivity for travelers nationwide.

Meanwhile, (LIPAD) Corporation President and CEO Noel Manankil expressed enthusiasm about Sunlight Air's presence, solidifying CRK's position as a vital aviation hub.

“We are dedicated to providing Sunlight Air passengers with an unparalleled travel experience marked by efficiency, convenience, and a focus on customer satisfaction,” Manankil said.
